South African Premier News

After months of speculation and initial denials, South African broadcaster SuperSport have confirmed the sale of Betway Premiership club SuperSport United to Siwelele Football Club. What does the future hold for the fans and players?

Silly season is in progress in South Africa's Betway Premiership, with the PSL transfer window seeing increased action for Cape Town's troubled teams, and the likes of Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs picking up some handy players.

Orlando Pirates have named former Morocco international Abdeslam Ouaddou as their new head coach, following the departure of Jose Riveiro before the end of the recently concluded Betway Premiership season.

After a 1-0 win over Ulsan HD which put them top of Group F, Mamelodi Sundowns will secure their last 16 spot at the FIFA Club World Cup if they pull off a shock win over German giants Borussia Dortmund on Saturday.

South Africa's Mamelodi Sundowns will kick off their Club World Cup campaign with a clash against K League 1 champions Ulsan HD on June 18 (Central African Time) in Orlando.
