CHAN News

Nigeria have set themselves the goal of winning this year's African Nations Championships (CHAN), which is taking place in Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda from August 2.

A flurry of three goals in a six-minute span propelled Nigeria to a 3-1 win over Ghana, but more importantly secured a return to the African Nations Championship (CHAN) for the first time in six years.

Ivory Coast coach Jean-Louis Gasset omitted former Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zahasquad from the African Cup of Nations final squad that starts on Jan. 13.

Reigning African Nations Championship holders Morocco await an imminent ruling from CAF after failing to turn up for the tournament in Algeria.

Gernot Rohr says he will be able to select players only from the Nigerian domestic league for the fixture against CONCACAF Gold Cup holders Mexico.
