Independiente were disqualified from the Copa Sudamericana after violent clashes involving fans at their stadium in a match against the Universidad de Chile last month, CONMEBOL said Thursday.

More than 100 fans were arrested after violence erupted in the stands during a Copa Sudamericana match between Independiente and Universidad de Chile.
